TakePart

As part of the 2009 International Festival of Sport (27 June—12 July) we are delighted to announce that Portslade Sports Centre is to be one of the TakePart Local Venues.

On Saturday 11th July,between 9.00am-1.00pm, we will be showcasing a variety of tasters and demonstrations from various local groups and clubs. These will include:
indoor golf, trampolining, gymnastics, podance, boxercise, karate, cheerleading, badminton and tae jitsu.
There will also be indoor athletics and cricket that you can come and take part in.

During the afternoon, between 1.00pm-5.00pm, we will see street games competitions run at the Sports Centre in conjunction with the charity ‘Street Games’ and Hove YMCA.

Also on July 11th, local and regional youth clubs and school teams will compete in 3 vrs 3 Basketball competitions and a Street Cricket tournament. If you wish to enter a team or require further information please contact Hove YMCA 01273 731724.
