Welcome to our 'school' information pages.
Rebranding the College
Following consultation with parents, staff and students, we have developed a new logo for the College. We wanted to show that the College is moving forward and upwards, hence the arrow head design. We have also replaced the College strap line of 'Caring for Achievement' with 'Unlocking Potential'. We believe that every student has ability and the potential to succeed. It is our aim to ensure that we 'unlock the potential' in every student so that they can thrive and achieve at school.
As part of the rebranding we have also produced the following mission statement, which outlines our determination to provide the best quality provision for
our community.
College Mission Statement
Portslade Community College is at the heart of the local community providing high quality learning, services and opportunities for people of all ages.We strive to be a vibrant, caring and innovative learning community with high expectations and aspirations.
We are passionately committed to unlocking potential and securing success for all.
Welcome to our Years 7-11 information pages.
Students in Years 7-11, ages 11-16, are based on the main Chalky Road campus. Curriculum subjects are taught in localised classrooms to facilitate access to resouces. These are complemented by a superb fully equipped sports centre, a dual usage library and a careers office. We are very proud of all we achieve and should like everyone to feel that the Community College is ‘our college’ and that we all have a real share in it.
