Levels for Spreadsheets

Level 4 – You are at level 4 if you can show evidence of the following:

  • Formulae
  • Correctly enter data, no spelling mistakes
  • Columns and rows are correctly headed
  • Format the spreadsheet by resizing column and row heights, shade, change font to meet audience requirements
  • A simple formulae has been used, addition, division, multiplication
  • Spreadsheet may be used to answer what if questions

 

Level 5 – You are at level 5 if you can show evidence of the following:

  • Formulae
  • Correctly enter data, no spelling mistakes
  • Columns and rows are correctly headed
  • At least three formulae have been used

 

Level 6 - You are at level 6 if you can show evidence of the following:

  • Formulae
  • Correctly enter data, no spelling mistakes
  • Columns and rows are correctly headed
  • At least three formulae have been used
  • A clear header is used for the spreadsheet
  • Spreadsheet must be designed to solve a multiple task problem; e.g. what is the maximum price for a tin of paint I can afford to paint a room if I only have a certain amount of money to spend.

 

  • Charts
  • Produce a simple chart
  • Chart may contain a basic title but no real indication as to what the chart is showing. Chart may contain labelled axes but needs to be more detailed to show what each colour represents.
  • Charts
  • Produced and chosen a chart to show the display at its best
  • Labels and titles have been included
  • The work is fit for purpose and is printed but could be enhanced by putting into another document
  • Charts
  • Format the chart to suit the intended audience
  • Chart axes chosen to clearly represent the data – the data needs to be displayed
